What is Direct School Admission (DSA)?

The DSA-Sec Exercise was introduced by the Ministry of Education in 2004. It seeks to promote holistic education and provide students an opportunity to demonstrate a more diverse range of achievements and talents in seeking admission to a secondary school. The DSA-Sec Exercise is an admission exercise to allow participating secondary schools to select some Primary 6 students for admission to Secondary One. The selection will be based on their achievements and talents before the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results are released.

Woodlands Secondary School has achieved the Sustained Achievement Award for Uniformed Groups (UG) since 2002. In 2013, Woodlands Secondary School (WDL) was awarded the niche status by MOE in the area of Character Development and Student Leadership through Uniformed Groups (UG). In 2014, we have successfully repositioned our niche status into our Learning for Life (LLP) Programme. In 2015, the school rolled out its LLP, led by members of the Uniformed Groups. In 2016, the school has transposed to the theme of Community Youth Leadership as the school’s LLP.
